A family story rooted in the love of dahlias, told across more than three decades in West Lothian.
Ridgeview Nursery was established over thirty years ago by Joe and Isa Cruickshanks. From small beginnings growing tomatoes and spring annuals in one greenhouse, the nursery has flourished and now covers five acres.
Joined by their daughter Alice and son Andrew, this family-run business gradually changed until it now specialises entirely in dahlias. Growing over three hundred varieties, mostly undercover, the nursery creates a spectacular display of colour every summer.
Our Story
Joe and Isa Cruickshanks founded Ridgeview Nursery, beginning with one greenhouse growing tomatoes and spring annuals.
From a single greenhouse the nursery expanded to cover five acres, with most growing done undercover to extend the season.
Daughter Alice and son Andrew joined, bringing a new generation's passion and energy to the nursery.
Today Ridgeview specialises exclusively in dahlias — a spectacular, colour-drenched display every summer.
Ordering Information
Rooted cuttings available from the nursery in April and May.
Orders accepted by post only. Include a stamped addressed envelope if requesting a catalogue.
Card payments accepted (4% surcharge for phone orders). Cheques and Postal Orders payable to J & I Cruickshanks.
Minimum order of £10 excluding carriage charges.
